Religions Types
- Animism: The belief in a supernatural power that organizes and animates the material universe. Often lacking clear defined gods.
- Shamanism: A belief system in which magic is influenced by a shamen. Similar to animism, but the diffrence is that it requires the use of a shamen.
- Dualism: The belief in two gods, often opposing in nature, who rule the universe. Common depictions of dualism are good vs evil.
- Polythistic: The belief in a supernatural power that organizes and animates the material universe. Often lacking clear defined gods.
- Monothistic: The belief in a single god who rules the universe. One of the most common in the modern world, but not historically.
- Nontheistic: A belief system in which no god exists. Special case given to if a culture is unknown and does not fit in any of the previous categories.
